Akasha (Ether) relates to Vishuddha Chakra and beyond
The elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether (or Space), are described in yogic teachings to be the basis of all creation and the five most dense levels of separateness; where the illusion of Maya leads us away from the recognition of Oneness.
As not only matter, but also relating to the consciousness of human experience, these levels of separateness (Tattvas) are said to guide us to the wisdom of our very nature, our most intimate being, where the innermost centre of perception is in fact the outermost realisation.

Being within the heart of Winter in Australia right now, it is time to embody the element of Water. We can do this through physically being near and around water, whether by a lake, river, stream, ocean, or even whilst in the shower, bath, or simply when washing the hands. Learning to be with the water, be like the water, going with the flow, allowing space for our creativity, and nourishing the sacredness of our emotions can guide the necessary self-care that is needed within this nurturing time.
With this theme in mind, a supportive practice that we can keep coming back to, is to find the simple pleasures in life and be guided to Santosha (contentment) as we sit within the vastness of our inner journey. Here is a beautiful Kundalini Mantra for the Water Element (Tattva) to guide this journey:
Sat Narayan Wahe Guru
Hari Narayan Sat Nam
*translation: the true sustainer, indescribable wisdom, creation in action, true identity.
Chanting this mantra is cleansing and evokes a purity of consciousness, guiding inner peace, prosperity, and a deeper connection to what is Infinite. Sit comfortably, with hands in Gyan Mudra (pointer to thumb) and chant for 3-11 minutes.
For those wanting to come a little deeper, join me for a monthly guided online journey of Mantra Meditation. Each month shares a different mantra, philosophy and history, as well as details of pronunciation for our experiential practice. Go to https://www.thesunshinechannel.com.au/book-online.
